Electrical Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

As an Electrical Supervisor at Sun Tribe, you would be responsible for assisting the Site Manager to ensure the quality, schedule, and overall implementation of the Organization’s construction philosophy. This position will require you to gain a wide range of knowledge and experience with electrical, solar-specific, and general construction field management.

The Electrical Supervisor reports directly to the Site Manager. This is a full-time travel position located within the state of Virginia.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist and report to the Site Manager to ensure electrical work performed by sub-contractors is done per drawings, applicable codes, and industry standards
  • Track daily electrical progress and overall project milestones
  • Review and understand electrical sub-contractor scopes of work
  • Maintain and organize project documentation as it pertains to the electrical installation
  • Review sub-contractor change orders
  • Document and report quality and safety concerns to the responsible parties
  • Coordinate sub-contractor RFIs
  • Inspect material as it lands for adherence to bills of material and specifications
  • Instill and adhere to the Organization’s safety culture
  • Assist the project commissioning team towards successful energization
  • Interface with the Engineering and Project management teams to resolve design and schedule issues
  • Provide feedback to the Engineering team to continually improve design methodologies, installation requirements, and project drawings

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or Physics or equivalent experience
  • General understanding of physical, electrical, and structural construction plans
  • Experience with the National Electric Code as it pertains to solar PV system design
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to work well with others in a construction environment
  • Self-motivated
  • Honest, reliable, self-aware and conscientious
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong planning, organization and prioritization skills
